It’s exhausting trying to keep up with a "cultural algorithm" that tells us we have to constantly earn our significance and prove our worth to other people. We often feel the pressure to work for our identity, chasing status or approval just to feel valuable. This week, we looked at how God calls us to reset our identity. Instead of striving to earn love, we are invited to live from a place of being already chosen, redeemed, and fully accepted because of Jesus. You don't need to listen to a world that changes its standards every day; you just need to remind yourself that you are already sealed and secure in Christ. As you step into this week, try "turning down" the algorithm—maybe by ignoring the pressure to impress strangers online or just putting the phone down—and “turn up” God’s Word in your life. It’s the best way to start 2026 with confidence and peace.

It’s surprisingly easy to let life’s big moments slip by and forget how much has actually happened over the last twelve months! We often move so fast that we lose sight of how God has been looking out for us. This week, we looked at how pausing to remember isn't just a sentimental exercise—it’s Biblical! And it helps us gain peace and perspective, regardless of what's happening around us. Think of your phone's photo library as a modern version of a memory jar. When you scroll back through your pictures from 2025, you start to see the full story of where you’ve been and what God has done, even in the messy parts. Before the new year officially kicks off, take a few minutes to look through your photos, send a quick text to someone you’ve missed, and be honest with God about what you’re grateful for and where you still need some help. It’s a simple way to head into next year with a much clearer head and a lot more gratitude. We often assume that if the news is bad, then God must be bad too. It’s easy to let a difficult season or a sudden setback poison your view of God’s character. We focus so much on the pain that we lose sight of the truth: your circumstances are not the evidence of God’s love for you—the cross is! 
God proved His character once and for all through Jesus. He is undeniably good even when life feels undeniably dark. Are you living with a napkin on your lap or a towel over your arm? It’s time to stop sitting in the booth demanding to be served. True hospitality means trading the mindset of a customer, who is preoccupied with their own life, for the mindset of a servant. Jesus did not come to be served, but to serve. The real challenge is to make the change from the napkin, which we use to be served, to the towel, which we use to serve others. This means we stop acting like customers and start asking one simple question in every situation: "What would a servant do?" Hospitality isn't something to discuss; it's something to do.
